This is a user flow for how users will engage with the “Patient records” section within the cancer app I worked on. This user flow illustrated the ways in which users could import/create/view/edit/delete records.
While working as a freelance UX designer, I created interactive wireframes using Axure for a cancer app. The goal of the app was to automate the results from an in-office cancer screening test commonly conducted by dentists and hygienists. The app’s functionality included a camera that took a photo of the results and then produced automated results.
Nielsen Norman Group defines a journey map as “a visualization of the process that a person goes through in order to accomplish a goal.” I design journey maps by identifying a series of user actions and then representing them in a visual timeline. In addition, the timeline contains user thoughts and emotions in order to create a narrative.
While working as a UX designer for a Fortune 500 company, I created user personas to reflect various user types, pinpointing who they are and what they do with products in relevant contexts. I created user personas from available data to understand user characteristics, needs, goals, and to gain valuable insights into user journeys.
In June 2018, I earned a certification in interaction design by completing Nielsen Norman Group’s exam-based UX Certification program. The course focused on UX principles that can be applied to any design situation, including websites, mobile UX, complex and simple software applications, and consumer products.
As a conversion rate optimization specialist, I am responsible for ideating test ideas, running A/B tests and ultimately improving conversion and revenue. This area highlights two examples of A/B tests I launched that resulted in winning tests.
Ultimately, Riverside Cabinet Gallery did not have a web presence before I began my work on the website. All that they had in terms of web presence was a single, un-optimized page that did not effectively showcase the breadth of their service offerings, provide easy options for users to contact them, and it did not show office hours or any kinds of visuals of their outstanding work. In addition, they did not show up in search results.
Our primary goal was to increase free trial submissions and, as a result of our redesign, we were successful in doing so according to our A/B testing. Specifically, we increased free trial submissions by 29%.
